Residential Interior Design by HSIN TING WENG

Minimalist linear arrangement embellished with oriental touches. Giant walnut wood paneling along the hallway piercing the low beam propels each area's functionality and prolongs the depth of visualization and spacious dimension, which is magnificent yet profound.

Both wood and marble give the warmth of a mild color scheme as a flow. The marble wall in the living room is divided into unequal proportions yet neatly aligned. Black ceiling light-mounted slots make a sharp yet coherent contrast to fit neutral colors.

The open-conceptual area encompasses diverse functions. A double-faced sideboard divides the entrance and dining room, while the low beam separates the TV room and living area.

The design covers an area of 182 square meters and is located in Taichung City, Taiwan. The project was completed by HSIN-TING WENG and SHIH-TING HSU.

Among different space sections, there are no physical partitions or walls. Each area's functionality is defined by flooring, ceiling, and furniture configuration plans.

The space gradually grows; let the time stop here. Stepping into the entrance, hexagonal floor tiles of mosaic are lively, and the hairline stainless wall-paneling attracts attention. Adopting the warmth of a mild wood color scheme, the marble wall in the living room is divided into unequal proportions yet neatly aligned, propelling a progressive combination of material textures. When sunlight goes through the curtain sheer, the open-conceptual area encompasses diverse functions. The natural and the sensual, the marble and the wood are interlaced, faintly revealing originality and simplicity.
